Description
Gerry James was a pretty good pro hockey player, but he was an even better pro football player. He played as a running back for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League between 1952 and 1964, and as a right winger for the Toronto Maple Leafs between 1955 and 1960. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and the only person to ever play in a Stanley Cup game and a Grey Cup Championship game. He won a Memorial Cup 1955, was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Canadian twice, and won four Grey Cup Championships.
