This is an original pre-concert printing for a series of shows at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, featuring Big Brother & The Holding Company, Bo Diddley, Bukka White, and the Salvation Army Banned.
Art is by Bob Fried, who was one of the most visually impressive artists of the era. Big Brother was fronted by the legendary Janis Joplin, who would leave the band a year later. Bo Diddley was an original rock-n-roll idol who produced his own unique sound and guitar riff. Bukka White was a well-known blues artist, and the Salvation Army Banned was short-lived psych band that eventually shortened their name to “Salvation” after the Salvation Army pursued a cease-and-desist order. Condition is a solid NR.MT with a small pock mark on the front, right of center (see photo).
