Description

Love him or hate him, Pete’s on-field accomplishments are mind-boggling.  Besides his Rookie-of-the-Year and NL MVP wins, consider he led the NL in runs scored 4x, hits 7x (of 10 200+ hit seasons), doubles 5x, and won three batting titles.  He is, of course, the all-time leader in hits, with 4,256.  A lifetime .303 hitter and 17-time all-star.  Known for his gambling and ultimate banishment from the game, he is now eligible for the Hall of Fame, it only feels like a matter of time before he’s elected.
