This is a NR.MT+ second printing of the concert poster from a 1966 performance by Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band, Chocolate Watch Band, and The Great Pumpkin, at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, California.

This is a classic poster by the original SF concert poster artist, the prolific Wes Wilson.

Condition is a very nice Near Mint, with superb corners and no creases, dings or faults. Gorgeous in all respects! Keep in mind many of the early reprints were done shortly after the concerts (in some cases a matter of days), so even though a second printing, it’s a 50-year-old plus poster.

With originals now generating record prices, these early subsequent printings are getting more and more attention as a great way to collect and display the art with far less investment dollars.
