Absolutely stunning tobacco card.  Billy Campbell was a left-handed pitcher who played 13 pro seasons, with four of them at the big-league level.  This card is favored by collectors thanks to the incredible colors used in the card’s design.  This is 1 of 5, with none graded higher among the 197 Piedmont 350/25 Campbell’s graded by SGC.  PSA shows 248 examples, with only 4 graded higher.

Math can be fun, so to take it a step further, there are 355 Campbell’s with all backs graded by SGC, and only two grade higher.  PSA shows 540 Campbell’s of all tobacco types, and only 14 grade higher.  So…of 895 T206 Campbell cards graded by the two largest vintage graders, only 16 of them received a higher grade.  That puts this card in the top 1.7% of all available graded T206 Campbell cards.
