Description

Super clean example of Bill “Rough” Carrigan’s T206 offering.  Carrigan was, like the nickname suggests, a tough-as-nails catcher.  He played all 10 of his big-league seasons with the Boston Red Sox, where he won one World Series as a player, and back-to-back titles as player-manager.  With the scarcer and clean Polar Bear back (as these were included in tobacco pouches and not rolled cigarettes, it is common to find staining on them), this is 1 of 5, with none graded higher, of only 24 graded by SGC.  PSA shows 34 Polar Bear Carrigan’s, with 9 graded VG-EX 4 and only 1 graded higher.
