Description
By the age of 28 and only six seasons into his career, eventual HHOFer Gordie Drillon had been runner-up for Rookie-of-the-Year, a two-time first-team all-star, a Lady Byng winner (and three-time runner-up) and a Stanley Cup champion. Then, at the age of 30, he left hockey and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in which he served until the end of World War II. A solid and somewhat forgotten star.
