One of a trio of posters from that summer that together form a “triptych”, for a series of Avalon shows featuring San Francisco’s original psychedelic band, the Charlatans, who dressed like old west characters and fused many elements into a distinct musical style. This poster of late May shows that also featured Blue Cheer and the Salvation Army Banned. Art is by the fabulous Rick Griffin with a photo by eminent rock photographer, Herb Greene. The photo shows Mike Wilhelm (left) and Dan Hicks (right), who would leave the band later to form Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks. This one of the several 2nd printings, which feature some slight size differences.
The condition is NR.MT with excellent color and superb corners.
