Description

Groom was a pitcher who has the dubious distinction of leading the league in losses three times.  A lot of that had to do with the fact he played for the Washington Senators (“First in war, first in peace, and last in the American League”).  He did win 24 games in 1912 and always managed a heavy workload.  With a Sweet Caporal back.
