Description
Howell, a right-handed pitcher, had the hard luck of playing on some weak teams during his 13-yr big league career. He would hit double digits in wins 7 times, but almost always lost more than he won. His best season came in 1908 when he went 18-18 for the St. Louis Browns while posting a 1.89 ERA over 324 innings pitched.
This is the “hand at waist” variation, and comes with rare Sovereign 460 back, issued late (1911) in the three-year T206 run. This is 1 of 5 with 10 graded higher of the only 24 graded by PSA. With 619 Howell T206’s graded by PSA, this back represents less than 4% of the population.
