From the ultimate pre-war pin set, HOFer Duffy was one the early game’s best hitters. Over the course of his 17-year career he was a consistent run producer with high batting averages. His peak seasons were 1888 to 1899. During this run he would win a pair of batting titles, including racking up a .440 average in 1894. He would also drive in 100+ runs 8 times in 9 seasons. BY the time this pin was issued he was a full-time manager. This one is the tougher “large letter” version and represents an affordable pre-war HOFer from a classic set!
