Description

Charlie Hemphill was a solid big-league outfielder, playing from 1899 through 1911. He stole a few bases, smacked out some hits, and did enough to earn a major league salary more than most. As with many of the Polar Bear backs, this one has some tobacco stains on the back (Polar Bear was sold as unrolled, scrap tobacco in pouches and many cards with this brand show staining).
