Description
Doc was a solid left-handed pitcher and part-time outfielder who lasted 13 Big League seasons, mainly as a member of the Chicago White Sox. In 1906 he went 18-6 and led the American League with a 1.52 ERA helping Chicago to a World Series title. He would register double-digits in wins over 11 consecutive years, including a 27-13 season in 1907. He would retire with a 189 career wins and a lifetime 2.39 ERA.
