Description
HOF goaltender Hainsworth put together the single most successful season of any goalie in NHL history, when as a member of the Montreal Canadiens in 1929 he went 22-7 with .92 goals against average with all 22 wins coming via the shutout. In fact, he played every game over his first three seasons (132 games) in which he recorded 76 wins, 49 shutouts, and three straight Vezina Trophies. He was durable, playing every game but two over a 10 season stretch, and a winner of two Stanley Cups.
These 8 1/2 x 11 inserts were a promotion that ran briefly in La Patrie newspaper in Montreal. The gorgeous near sepia-toned photos are on a semi-thick stock and are difficult to find today in nice condition.
