Description
Action shot shows the Leafs’ Barry Cullen scoring a goal. A little research pegs this game as October 30, 1957. It’s the only game spare goalie Len Broderick played. As the spare in Toronto he’d sit in the stands as an emergency back up. When Jacques Plante was unable to start, he was pressed into action for Montreal against his hometown team. He won the game, his only NHL appearance, holding the Leafs to two goals while making 22 saves. Also in the photo are Ron Stewart, Jean-Guy Talbot and HOFer, Doug Harvey.
