Description

This card is for a great afternoon concert at the Fillmore in San Francisco, October 23, 1966, featuring the Yardbirds and local band, Country Joe and the Fish.  Artist John H. Myers’ design incorporates a photo by Gerard Mankowitz. This is one of the few verifiable shows with both Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page sharing lead guitar duties.  Beck would leave the band soon thereafter.  Known as BG-27 in the Bill Graham series, no postcard was printed with the original pre-concert poster, instead it was printed later. This is the vellum version, printed with the second poster in 1967.
