This is an authorized second printing of a very rare poster from July 1967 done to promote a series of shows by the Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead in Toronto, Canada.  In 1967 Graham took some SF bands on the road to deliver the “San Francisco” scene, including the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and this run at the O’Keefe Centre.

The posters for this show are ultra rare and hyper expensive as a result.  Apparently, the Canadian authorities confiscated (and destroyed) the posters at the border as only Canadian-printed posters were allowed in Canada to promote shows.  Although this isn’t verified, it is the reason given most often for the otherwise inexplicable rarity.

This printing was done in 2006 by Wolgang’s Vault, which acquired the rights from Bill Graham, and limited to 1,000 pieces.

Classic “SF” type art by James Gardner which features two band photos by Herb Greene, similar to the famous BG-33 poster from 1966.

Condition is a sharp NM+
