This is an original printing (pre-concert) poster from a pair of September 1967 performances by Quicksilver Messenger Service, the Charlatans, and Superband, at the Family Dog, Denver, Colorado.

San Francisco’s Family Dog, headed by Chet Helms, began operating in Denver in 1967.  For this event they paired Bay Area staples Quicksilver and the Charlatans with local Denver act, Superband.  Art on this poster is by two members of the Charlatans, Mike Ferguson and George Hunter, featuring an old-time motif complete with a “stressed” paper look.
