This is a scarce and desirable 2nd print early poster, printed shortly after the show, for a remarkable twin billing from 1966 featuring groundbreaking comic/social commentator, Lenny Bruce, and Frank Zappa’s early Mothers (of Invention), at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, California.
This show was Bruce’s last live performance, as he would die tragically less than 10 days later from a morphine overdose. Opening for Bruce was an early incarnation of Zappa’s Mothers band, which featured wild arrangements and theatrical performances. One of the all-time great, historically important, early concert posters. Posters like this are becoming increasingly hard to find. Condition is superb, NR.MT to MINT.
