This is a 2nd printing of the June 1967 poster for The Charlatans and the 13th Floor Elevators at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, California. The Charlatans were the first San Francisco psychedelic band, and the 13th Floor Elevators were a Texas-based psych rock act that were immensely influential in their time.

Art on this piece is by Rick Griffin, one of the most popular artists of the rock poster genre. Condition is a superb Near Mint, with excellent corners, gloss and colors. With poster values skyrocketing, the second printings, usually done within a year of the original show, are excellent ways to acquire 50-year-old posters.

Interestingly, this poster is one of three Charlatans posters done that summer that together form a triptych – or three panel complete image.
