Description

Guitar god Jeff Beck and his group headlined this series of April 1969 shows at the Fillmore West in San Francisco. Also on the bill was English drummer Aynsley Dunbar’s Retaliation.  Dunbar had played with Beck and would soon be pounding the skins for Frank Zappa. The third act was Zephyr, a Colorado act that featured guitarist Tommy Bolin, who would go on to join The James Gang.  He would play with some well-known fusion artists like drummer Billy Cobham before joining Deep Purple.  The art on this piece – BG-168 – is by Randy Tuten who blended some wild lettering around a central image of the California Zephyr train.
