1955 Topps All-American #18 Pudge Heffelfinger SP (PSA 7)

$75.00

Description

“Pudge” is considered the first professional football player, having been paid to play in 1892 for the Allegheny Athletic Association. Heffelfinger played college football from 1888 to 1891 at Yale University, where he was a three-time consensus All-American as a guard. He coached for a few years and eventually went into business. This classic vintage football card is from the popular 1955 Topps set which featured the greatest college football players of all time. Bowman had exclusive rights to the NFL, so Topps got creative and produced a classic set.

This is one of a handful of short-printed cards in the set and is graded a nice 7 NM by PSA!
