Description

This is the scarcer Type B postcard, issued in 1966 to promote the Grateful Dead, blues great Lightning Hopkins and Loading Zone at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco.  It’s a popular design known as BG-31 in the Bill Graham Fillmore Series, featuring a young Jerry Garcia and a reference to an upcoming Yardbirds concert.  This is the pre-concert first-printing version.  Size is 5 1/8″ x 8″, produced on the same thin, porous, paper stock as the first printing posters.

Condition is NM- with a light bend in the upper left-hand corner.
