Great example of early Bob Masse art, done for a series of shows at Vancouver’s premier psychedelic venue, the Afterthought at the Kits Theatre. Vancouver’s psych scene was just getting into full gear, and one of San Francisco’s resident bands, Country Joe & The Fish, helped usher it in with this three-day engagement. Backing up the Fish were three local bands that all garnered solid followings in the coming years.

Masse went on to a long and busy career in Art Rock, a true pioneer of the genre.

This is an original printing. Print runs for pre-concert posters in places like San Francisco were up to 3000 by early 1967. Prints runs in Canadian cities were in the hundreds. A classic early piece of Canadian music history.

The condition is VF-NR.MT with some light corner wear, otherwise solid with bright color and gloss, no creases, wrinkles, nicks or pinholes.
