This is a stunning example of a flawless original concert poster from the “Summer of Love”. The show at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco featured local favorite, Quicksilver Messenger Service, the Siegel-Schwall Band, and the Phoenix. This 4th of July concert provided the ‘Independence’ theme to the art, by the uber popular and influential Rick Griffin.

Condition is unimprovable. This poster has been third-party certified, encapsulated in a tamper proof protective holder, and graded by CGC and given a 10 GEM MINT grade. CGC has been third-party authenticating and grading comic books and sports cards for two decades, and over the past five years or so have also expanded to include concert posters. This is one of only 17 graded this high, out of a total of less than 50 pieces graded by CGC. Certified 10’s, when found, across the collectible spectrum typically demand multiples to the grades below them.
